Project Masam’s Operation Room announced that the project’s teams cleared during the 4th week of June 1185 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices, which brings the total of what was cleared from the 30th of May to the 25 of June to 4428.
Project Masam’s Operations Manager Mr Retief Horn said that the engineering teams cleared during last week 773 unexploded ordnance and 24 explosive devices.
Mr Retief added that the teams cleared also during last week 363 anti-tank landmines and 25 anti-personnel landmines.
For his part, project Masam’s Managing Director Mr Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of what Masam’s teams cleared from the launch of the project to the 25th of June reached 171731 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Mr Algosaibi added in his statement that the teams were able during last week to clear 348427 square meters of lands, bringing the total of what was cleared since the launch of the project to 11.298.559 square meters of Yemeni lands.
And during last week, team 30 Masam (specialized in collecting shells) executed an operation to destroy and detonate 1089 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
