Project Masam’s Managing Director Mr Ousama Algosaibi announced that Masam’s teams cleared from the launch of the project to the 25th of June 171731 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices
Mr Algosaibi said that the project’s engineering teams cleared since late June 2018 up to now 111351 unexploded ordnance.
Algosaibi added in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of explosive devices which were cleared by the teams, from the launch of the project to the 25th of June, reached 4942.
For his part, Masam’s Operations Manager Retief Horn declared that Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project 53395 anti-tank landmines and 2043 anti-personnel landmines.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Masam noted that the size of lands cleared during last week reached 348427 square meters, which brings the total of what was cleared, since the 30th of last May until the 25th of June, to 989277 square meters.
And in conclusion, the size of Yemeni lands that Masam’s teams cleared and secured, since June 2018 until now, reached 11.298.559 square meters.
