In “Al-Rammah” area of “Al-Mokha” district, project Masam gave hope to 3,000 displaced families after their homes and farms have been secured from thousands of landmines and improvised explosive devices.
In a statement to Masam’s Media Office, Team Leader 17, Colonel “Hassan Salem Al-Jahuri” confirmed that “Al Rammah” area is one of the largest areas in “Al Mokha’ Directorate that is heavily and indiscriminately affected by landmines, which are residential communities that reach an area of 20 square kilometers and have more than 250 farms.
Colonel “Al-Jahouri” said that his team began work in “Al Rammah” area in July 2018 and has so far been able to clear more than 14 minefield and mined areas, and that the total of what has been removed from those fields reaches to 2500 landmines and an explosive device, adding that the team was able during the period of its work to normalize life, And return more than 3,000 displaced families to their homes safely.
