6 children were injured by a landmine explosion in “Al-Sufai” area in “Al Wazi’iyah” District, west of “Taiz” Governorate, on the West Coast.
Local sources said that the children were injured by a landmine explosion planted by the Houthi militia in front of the houses of the residents in “Al-Sufai” vilage before the liberation of the area.
The sources added that the children were playing in front of one of the houses when a landmine exploded, noting that the parents had assisted the injured children to the field hospital in “Al Mokha” to receive first aid and treatment.
The injured children are: “Wijdan Majid Muhammad” (9 years old), “Nasir bin Nasser Muhammad” (10 years old), “Suhail Sabri Muhammad” (11 years old), “Mufeed Saddam Muhammad” (8 years old), “Ahmed Abdo Muhammad” (6 years old) and “Kahlan Sabri Muhammad” (12 years old).
It is reported that the number of landmine victims in Taiz has reached (1729) since 2015, where (284) are dead and (1245) were injured.
