A woman was injured by a landmine explosion in Jabal Habashi Directorate, west of Taiz Governorate, southwest of the country.

Local sources reported that the landmine bursted by citizen, Neama Ali Ahmed, while she was grazing sheep, in “Al-Anin” area, in Ozlat Bilad Al-Wafi of Jabal Habashi Directorate.

Sources pointed out that the explosion resulted in severely wounding the woman in one of her legs, which led to the amputation of her leg, adding Naema to a long list of women who were affected by Houthi crimes and violations of mines in Taiz.

The militias planted thousands of landmines and explosive devices, in residential neighborhoods and public roads, in various areas under their control, causing hundreds of civilian casualties, most of them women and children.

These mines varied between individual mines, vehicle mines and explosive devices, which the Houthis deliberately camouflaged, in various ways and forms, aiming to directly harm civilians.
