A young man was killed and another was injured after a landmine planted by the Houthi militia exploded in the Al-Tuhayta district, south of Hodeidah governorate, west of Yemen.

According to local sources, a 29-year-old young man was killed, while another, aged 43, was wounded as a result of the explosion of a mine planted by the Houthi militia in Al-Tuhayta on Friday 5 May.
According to the sources, the victim was riding a motorcycle, while the injured man was standing on the side of the road at the moment of the explosion.
The districts of South Hodeidah are among the most affected districts on the western coast as Houthi militias left behind landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) after they retreated.
