By using some metal wires, the displaced Yemeni boy Mohammad made a humanitarian story that touched so many hearts on social media. Masam added to the flavor of this beautiful story with its humanitarian touch that is well known by the Yemeni people.
The story of the displaced Yemeni boy Mohammad, who lives today with his family in Marib governorate, started when a Yemeni journalist saw the metal spectacles that the young boy was wearing, and which he made of wires, in his own style.
Despite their simplicity, these spectacles attracted the journalist’s attention; he then asked Mohammad if he could borrow them from him. He accepted only if he could buy him along with his friends some clothes for Eid in the displacement camp.
And from here, the voyage of the metal spetacles started with its humanitarian dimension that made many people see up close the reality of Yemeni children who love life.
These simple spectacles entered the social media world with a picture. It was announced that an auction will be made to sell it in order to support the humanitarian cause in Yemen. The response was big, and so was the sympathy and appreciation, and Masam project took the lead in this humanitarian race.
Masam participated in the auction, and bought the spectacles for 2.5 million Yemeni Riyal, to achieve a victory for humanity. The Managing Director of Masam project Mr Ousama Algosaibi entered the auction to raise the voice of humanity, and reiterate Masam’s commitment to this noble message with loyalty and generosity. Mr Ousama Algosaibi indicated that by saying: “I entered the auction of the spectacles belonging to the displaced boy Mohammad in the name of Masam project, and I bought it in the name of this humanitarian project, as the goal of this auction is purely humanitarian, and it adds to the credit of this project which brought hope and generosity upon the Yemeni people”.
Algosaibi added: “Through our participation in this auction, our first and last bets were on the Yemenis, and to confirm that we heard their voices and we are here to help them. We have many ties that link us to our brothers and neighbors, and especially the human ties that motivate Masam in its performance and generosity on the Yemeni soil”.
Today, Masam gives the gift of Eid that the displaced boy Mohammad wished for. The sum of money that Mohammad got by selling his humanitarian spectacles will bring joy and hope to his family, the people who live in the camp and all the Yemenis who feel that their voices are heard, because the voice of humanity will always matter.
