A clearing team of the Yemeni army was able to clear a number of landmines and explosive devices that the Houthi militias planted in Bab Ghalq in the north west of Ad Dali’.
A military source said that a unit specialized in clearing landmines in the 30th armored brigade was able to clear a big quantity of anti-personnel landmines in addition to a number of explosive devices, some of them remotely controlled by a surveillance camera.
The source added that during the military advance made by the army and popular resistance forces in Bab Ghalq’ some explosive devices camouflaged as rocks and planted by the Houthi militias exploded, which led to wounding 3 members of the brigade.
In the same context, local sources indicated that Habil Alabidi school and many houses were badly damaged due to the explosion of 4 explosive devices that the Houthi militias planted in the schoolyard and the surrounding houses as soon as the first troops of the army and resistance reached the area.
