The bodies of two civilians were charred after the explosion of a landmine that the Houthi militias planted in a sub-road linking between Al Maghras and As Suwayq in At Tuhayta directorate, south of Al Hodaydah city in western Yemen.
Local sources said that they heard the sound of an explosion, and after they reached the place of the explosion they saw that fire was still burning and that two bodies were charred.
The sources added that the Houthi militias besieged the area and forced the civilians to stay away from it, reiterating that they came back in the afternoon and saw the remains of the two charred headless bodies.
One local source said that the bikes were coming from the liberated areas. These bikes pass usually through the region of Al Maghras then to As Suwayq (a place known for its palm plantations) through a dusty road that links between Al Maghras, As Suwayq, Al Madman and the coastal area of Al Fazah.
The sources noted that the Houthis planted tens of various kinds of landmines in this road.
They added that one of the landmines exploded at the two motor bikers when they neared As Suwayq. The explosion caused a fire that charred the two bodies.
The sources added that the Houthi landmines resulted in the killing of more civilians and especially motor bikers in the region and in the western coast of Al Hodaydah. Last week two motor bikers faced the same fate and same reason.
