Leader of Team 12, Masam, Eng. Muhammad Al-Hazif, confirmed that since his team started work they had been able to survey and clear 7 mined fields in Al-Jawf governorate, 4 fields in Ma’arib governorate, as well as a minefield in Al-Qunza area in Al-Bayda governorate.
Engineer Muhammad Al-Hazif said in a special statement to Masam Media Office that his team is currently working in Shabwa governorate, and since they started work in Shabwa they had been able to survey and secure Qarn Ubaid area, Al-Maqsara area, Shaab Al-Ghadir area, and a minefield in the Thamad area.
Engineer Muhammad al-Hazif indicated that his team is currently working in field number one in “Mableqa” area of Ain District, which, according to him, is a very rugged mountainous area, which has been mined by the Houthi militia with large quantities of individual mines and explosive devices.
Engineer Al-Hazif noted that “Mablaqa” area is one of the high-impact areas, as it contains a number of villages and population centers. Team 12 is currently working to open safe passages for civilians and secure their gathering areas, as well as grazing areas and agricultural fields.
Regarding Masam experts team visit to the work area of Team 12, Team Leader Mohamed Al-Hazif praised the great role that Masam experts play in the process of training, qualification for engineering teams, supervision and direct follow-up of their work in the field, indicating that the deminers have acquired high expertise and skills by experts. Their field visit contributes to raising the deminers morale and providing field teams with new methods and skills in how to deal with all the mines invented by the militias.
