Project Masam’s Team 4 has started the process of opening and securing the Aqaba Maqaba road, which connects the centre of Bayhan district and Wadi Al-Khair region in Yemen’s Shabwah province.
In a statement to Project Masam’s media office, the leader of Team 4 confirmed that the process of securing the road has begun, as a first step to enable the local authority in Bayhan district fo maintain and pave the road.
The team leader added that reopening the road after securing it will contribute to alleviating the suffering of the local residents of Wadi Al-Khair and its neighbouring villages, as it will reduce the distance they need to reach the centre of the district.
He pointed out that the residents of Wadi al-Khair travel a distance of more than 20 kilometres because of detours to reach the center of Bayhan district, but after securing this subsidiary road, the distance required to reach the district will be only 5 kilometres.
For his part, Salem Hussein, a resident of Wadi al-Khair, praised the role of Project Masam in securing the lives of the people of the region, improving their living conditions, alleviating the suffering of civilians and enabling them to move and travel safely.
