Project Masam removes 783 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 783 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in September 2023.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that last week the teams managed to remove seven anti-personnel mines, 84 anti-tank mines, 687 UXO and five IEDs.

The project’s demining teams cleared 251,665 square metres of Yemeni territory last week.

Since the launch of the project in mid-June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 49,567,919 square metres of Yemeni land.
