Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 702 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in September 2024.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 704 landmines and UXO last week, including 12 anti-personnel landmines, 41 anti-tank mines, 702 UXO and 11 IEDs.
The project’s demining teams cleared 261,816 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.
Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 59,464,160 square metres of Yemeni land.
