Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 1,839 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in May 2025.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams cleared 1,839 landmines and UXO last week, including 26 anti-tank mines and 1,813 UXO during the period.
The project’s demining teams cleared 146,396 square metres of Yemeni land last week.
Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 66,651,306 square metres of Yemeni land.
