Four children were injured in a landmine explosion in a store in Mokha district of Yemen’s Taiz governorate.
In a statement, the leader of Project Masam’s Team 21 said that the children were exposed to a landmine explosion in a scrap shop in Mokha, which resulted in moderate and serious injuries.
He added that one of the children found the unexploded ordnance in Mokha desert and took it to a scrap shop in the city to sell it. Upon his arrival, he knocked the landmine, which resulted in its explosion inside the shop.
The leader pointed out that Team 21 was called to the site of the explosion immediately after receiving the report to survey the location, secure it, and ensure that there were no other projectiles at the site of the explosion.
