The Operations Room of project Masam announced that the project’s teams cleared during the first week of August 904 landmines and unexploded ordnance.
The Operations Manager in project Masam Mr Retief Horn said that the clearing teams cleared during last week 754 unexploded ordnance.
Mr Retief added that the teams cleared also during last week 150 anti-tank landmines.
For his part the Managing Director of project Masam Mr Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of what Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 7th of August reached 178541 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Mr Algosaibi added in his statement that Masam’s teams were able to clear 12.694.128 square meters of Yemeni lands that were mined with landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
