Project Masam’s Operations Room announced that the project’s teams cleared during the second week of September 1500 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Masam’s Operations Room indicated that the project’s teams cleared since the 29th of August until the 11th of September 2853 landmines and unexploded ordnance.
The Operations Manager in project Masam, Mr Retief Horn said that the clearing teams cleared during last week 1233 unexploded ordnance and 22 explosive devices.
Mr. Retief added that the teams were also able during last week to clear 234 anti-tank landmines and 11 anti-personnel landmines.
For his part, the Managing Director of project Masam, Mr. Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total number of what Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 11th of September reached 185081 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Algosaibi noted that Masam’s teams were able last week to clear 325.393 square meters of Yemeni lands, which brings the total size of what the teams cleared since the 29th of August until the 11th of September to 618.002 square meters.
Mr. Algosaibi added in his statement that Masam’s teams, since the launch of the project in late June 2018, were able to clear 14.194.150 square meters of Yemeni lands that were mined with landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
