Project Masam’s Operations Room announced that the project’s teams cleared during the second week of August 1157 landmines and unexploded ordnance.
The Operations Manager in project Masam Mr. Retief Horn said that the clearing teams cleared during last week 790 unexploded ordnance.
Mr. Retief added that the teams cleared also during last week 286 anti-tank landmines and 37 anti-personnel landmines.
For his part, the Managing Director of project Masam Mr. Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total number of what Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 14th of August reached 179698 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Algosaibi indicated that Masam’s teams were able to clear 271.806 square meters of Yemeni lands during last week.
Mr. Algosaibi added in his statement that the project’s teams were able to clear 12.965.934 square meters of Yemeni lands that were mined with landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
