Project Masam’s operations room has announced that last week, the project teams removed 816 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), bringing the total cleared since the beginning of the month to 1,598.
In its statement, Project Masam confirmed the demining teams removed 550 UXO and 53 IEDs along with 256 anti-tank mines this week alone.
The demining teams succeeded in clearing 516,858 square meters of Yemeni land since the beginning of April, bringing the total area cleared since the beginning of the project in mid-2018 to 45,367,536sqm.
