Masam removes 1,282 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices

Project Masam’s operations room has announced that the project teams have removed 1,282 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices last week.

In its statement, Project Masam said that the project teams have removed 1,151 unexploded ordnance and two explosive devices since the beginning of the month. Management added that the project teams removed this week during the same period 123 anti-tank and six anti-personnel mines.

Last week (30 December 2022 – 6 January 2023), the Masam teams succeeded in clearing 272,960sqm of the Yemen liberated land, bringing the total area cleared since the beginning of the project in mid-2018 to 42,916,981sqm.
