Project Masam’s Operations Room announced that, during the last week of September, the project teams cleared 1,402 mines, unexploded ordnance, and an explosive device.
Project Masam Operations Room stated that the project teams cleared from August 29 till October 02, 6969 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Project Masam Operations Manager Mr. Ratief Horn, stated that, last week, engineering teams removed 608 unexploded ordnance and 595 explosive devices.
Mr. Ratief added that last week, the teams cleared 193 anti-tank mines and 6 anti-personnel mines.
In the same context,The Managing Director of Project Masam, Mr. Ousama Al-Gosaibi, mentioned in a statement published by the Masam Media Office, that the total of what Masam’s teams removed from the start of the project until October 02 reached 189197 mines, unexploded ammunition and an explosive device.
Al-Gosaibi stated that last week, Masam’s teams were able to clear 213187 square meters of Yemeni lands, bringing the total of what the teams cleared from August 29 till October 02, to 1,311,184 square meters.
In his statement, Mr. Al-Gosaibi added that, since the launch of the project at the end of June 2018, Masam’s teams managed to clear 14,887,332 square meters of Yemeni lands, which were booby-trapped with mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
