Masam cleared 214,437 mines and unexploded ammunition so far

Managing Director of Project Masam, Mr. Ousama AlGosaibi, announced that from end of June 2018 until January 29,2021, Masam teams cleared 214,437 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices

In a statement published by the Masam Media Office, AlGosaibi added that since the project beginning, Masam teams have cleared 144,697 unexploded ordnance

AlGosaibi said that since June 2018, project teams have cleared 61,073 anti-tank mines and 2,817 anti-personnel mines.

Managing Director of Project Masam, stated that from project launch until January 29,2021, field teams cleared 5850 explosive devices.

AlGosaibi’s statement mentioned that Masam teams have been able from the project beginning until now to clear 19,366,560 square meters of Yemeni land that was booby-trapped with mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.

AlGosaibi said that from the beginning of January until the 29th, Masam teams were able to clear 1,248,640 square meters of land.

He added that, during the month of January, project teams cleared 5,932 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
