Project Masam Operations Room announced that, during the first week of October the project teams cleared 1857 mines, unexploded ordnance, and an explosive device.
Project Masam Operations Room stated that in the same week, project teams cleared 1,439 unexploded ordnance.
Project Masam Operations Manager, Mr. Retief Horn, stated that last week, engineering teams cleared 417 anti-tank mines, one anti-personnel mine
For his part, Project Masam Managing Director, Mr. Ousama AlGosaibi, said in a statement published by the Masam Media Office, that the total of what Masam’s teams removed since project launch until October 09 reached 191054 mines, unexploded ordnance and an explosive device.
AlGosaibi stated that last week, Masam’s teams were able to clear 213,887 square meters of Yemeni lands, bringing the total of what the teams cleaned from August 29 to October 09,2020 to 1,531,071 square meters.
Mr. AlGosaibi added in his statement that, since the launch of the project at the end of June 2018, Masam teams managed to clear 15,107,219 square meters of Yemeni land, which were booby-trapped with mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
