Project Masam for Landmine Clearance in Yemen carried out two operations to destroy and demolish 16180 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices in Marib province.
In an exclusive interview with Masam’s media office, the Managing Director of project Masam Mr Ousama Algosaibi asserted that the destruction operation carried out by team 11 Masam included 77 anti-armor landmines, 21 explosive devices and 16082 shells and unexploded ordnance.
Mr Ousama Algosaibi said that the destruction and demolition operations That project Masam carried out in Marib province alone reached 19 operations to destroy and demolish thousands of landmines and unexploded ordnance, which brings the total number of destruction operations carried out by project Masam’s clearing teams to 70 destruction and demolition operations in Yemen.
Project Masam was able since the launch of the project in Yemen to clear 176310 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
As for the total size of lands cleared since the 26th of June until the 24th of July it reached 1.254.126 square meters of Yemeni lands.
