Human Rights Watch called on Houthi militias to immediately stop using landmines, to investigate credibly about using them, and to punish the leaders responsible.
The organization said in a report that the Houthi militia used landmines on the coast, on the borders with Saudi Arabia, around major cities and on the roads.
The number of landmines planted by the Houthis in four years is estimated at about one million.
According to reports, the landmines planted by the Houthis in different areas have killed more than 1,539 people and injured more than 3,000, in addition to dead and injured fishermen, because of the naval mines planted by the Houthis.
