Project Masam clears 895 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 895 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in November 2024.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams cleared 895 landmines and UXO last week, including two anti-personnel landmine, 26 anti-tank mines, 865 UXO, and two IEDs during the period.

The project’s demining teams cleared 224,123 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.

Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 61,672,477 square metres of Yemeni land.
