Project Masam for cleansing Yemeni lands of mines carried out two detonation and destruction operations of 19539 mines and unexploded ordnance in Ma’rib governorate and the west coast.
In a statement issued to Masam Media Office, Mr. Ousama AlGosaibi, The Managing Director of the project, confirmed that the destruction operation carried out by Teams 14 and 11 Masam in Ma’rib Governorate included 18794 unexploded ordnance and various ammunition and 50 anti-armor mines.
AlGosaibi said that the destruction operation carried out by the missile collection team in Dhubab Directorate in the West Coast also included 170 anti-armor mines, 140 unexploded shells, 381 fuses and capsules, in addition to two anti-personnel mines, a grenade and a booby-trapped missile.
Mr. AlGosaibi pointed out that Project Masam, since it began its work in Yemen, until today, carried out 88 destruction and detonation operations, 37 of which were destroyed in the West Coast sector and 21 destruction operations in Marib Governorate, while the rest were carried out in Shabwa, Al-Jawf and Saada governorates.
AlGosaibi affirmed that Project Masam is continuing its humanitarian journey to secure the Yemeni land and people from the danger of mines and explosive devices that the Houthi militia continuously developing its industry and methods of cultivation and camouflaging.
