Project Masam’s operation room announced that the project’s teams cleared during the second week of this month 1279 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices, which brings the total of what was cleared since the 30th of May to the 11th of June to 2131.
Project Masam’s Operation Manager Mr Retief Horn said that the engineering teams cleared during the second week of this month 1036 unexploded ordnance and 3 explosive devices.
Mr Retief added that the teams cleared also during last week 238 anti-tank mines and 2 anti-personnel mines.
The project’s Managing Director Mr Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of what Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 11th of June reached 169434 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Mr Algosaibi added in his statement that the teams were able during last week to purify 264862 square meters, which brings the total of what was purified since the launch of the project to 10.648.279 square meters of Yemeni lands.
And during last week, project Masam’s two teams of collection and destruction destroyed and detonated 2415 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
