The journalist and director of Al A’sima media centre Abdelbaset Al Shajea’ considered that project Masam for mine clearance is one of the most important humanitarian missions in Yemen, as it works on saving the Yemenis from the arsenal of mines which were planted by the Houthi militias during the war, and these mines are the most dangerous invisible enemy that threatens the present and future of millions of Yemenis.
The journalist Abdelbaset Al Shajea’ praised the extension of the project for an additional year, noting that the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia deserve appreciation for taking such a step, for it is very important in order to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis and saving civilian lives from the calamity of mines that lurk to kill them and destroy their property.
Al Shajea’ noticed that the pro-Iranian Houthi militia relies on “planting explosives and mines that are prohibited internationally”, as it turned Yemen into the most suffering country from mines in the middle east, and killed hundreds of innocent Yemeni civilians, most of them women and children, and left hundreds handicapped, in the context of a systematic policy that targets the innocents and take revenge against the Yemenis through killing as many victims as possible.
Al Shajea’ considered that the huge role that Masam is playing in clearing these mines from Yemen is an extraordinary and great humanitarian work that Masam deserves to be thanked and appreciated for.
