The Director of the field hospital in Al Makha directorate Dr ‘Salah Mohammed Al Abdali’ confirmed that the majority of the victims whom the western coast directorates treat are mines’ victims, due to the huge number of mines planted by the Houthi militias randomly and extensively in all the regions related to civilian lives such as: roads, farms, houses, wells, markets, schools and grasslands; they planted mines everywhere and without exception.
Dr ‘Al Abdali’ said in an exclusive interview with Masam’s media office that the majority of mines’ victims whom the field hospital treats are civilians, noting that tens of families in ‘Al Makha’ directorate were killed because of the mines, and some of the families were permanently handicapped, and some lost all their limbs, and others lost either their lower or upper limbs.
‘Al Abdali’ mentioned that many from the medical staff were exposed to mine explosions, as they were on duty to save civilians’ lives who were victims of an explosion of a mine or an explosive device.
He stated that the Houthi project is a death project to kill Yemenis without distinction between children or women or civilian or military, as all the Houthis care about is killing and miming civilians as many as they can.
And about the importance of “Masam” project and the role it plays in the western coast, Dr ‘Salah Al Abdali’ reiterated that all the coast directorates are void of any sign of life because of the mines that the Houthis have planted extensively and randomly, and which are an obstacle to the locals’ return to their homes and farms, adding that ‘Al Makha’ directorate has been unpopulated for many months, until the arrival of “Masam” project’s de-mining teams.
The Director of ‘Al Makha’ field hospital added that “Masam” project brought life back to ‘Al Makha’ directorate, and enabled the locals to return to their regions safely.
