A civilian was killed and others from one family were injured by a landmine explosion in the Al-Yatama border directorate, northeast of Al-Jawf Governorate.
Field sources confirmed killing the citizen (Muhammad Akrout Al-Sha’eri) and wounding of (Muhammad Al-Sha’eri and Ali Al-Sha’eri), as a result of an explosion of a landmine planted by the Houthis in a civilian vehicle that was carrying them on one of the main roads in the Al-Yatma Directorate.
The Houthis use mines in the war raging in the country for 5 years, while official reports say that the number of mines planted during the war exceeds two million, which is considered by human rights organizations as a “war crime.”
According to a statistic of the Human Rights Office in Al-Jawf Governorate, the number of mine victims in the governorate reached 190 dead and 385 injuries, including disfigurement, disability and amputation of limbs.
