Nasser Saleh Hadi, a resident of the Usaylan district, has said that people in his area were unable to live normally because of fear and helplessness due to the presence of landmines, before the arrival of Project Masam’s demining team.
Hadi claimed that the people of Usaylan and particularly the area of Dar al-Mansir, suffered from severe damage to their health, and properties including their homes and farms.
The villager explained that the Dar Al-Mansir area, which had been an essential agricultural area, was transformed by landmines and became barren before Project Masam came and removed the mines from it, clearing the water wells, and ensuring farmers could return to their farms. The area is now green, productive and fertile, Hadi said.
Hadi thanked Project Masam, which he claimed helped the displaced to return to their homes and farms to be become productive again, and provided them with security and livelihoods, after having securing them from potentially deadly explosive items that have prevented people from living in peace since the beginning of the conflict.
