News of mine victims on the Yemeni western coast, between a dead, injured and amputees, is a daily news for Yemenis, while the people of these stricken areas hardly pick up their wounds and treat them with patience, a new painful incident opens the bleeding wounds of these innocent civilians due to the oppression of tyrannical and bloodthirsty mines.
Today, the people of these areas woke up to a new painful incident in which a civilian’s foot was amputated, as a result of a landmine explosion planted by the Houthi militia in Dhubab Directorate, which is administratively affiliated to Taiz Governorate.
In this bloody context, a local source stated that a civilian working in selling building stones near Al-Omari camp had one of his feet amputated after he stepped on a Houthi mine. After the accident, the victim was brought to Aden to receive treatment after suffering serious injuries.
The cold-blooded killing race with treacherous mines turned the regions of the West Coast to the largest minefield on earth, after the Houthi militias planted about two million mines, causing hundreds of casualties.
In the same context, there is almost no cessation of victims’ news who are being stalked by mines and thrown either in deficit or cemeteries corners, as the explosion of a landmine planted by the Houthi militia resulted in the death of a woman in Al Shaqab village in Sabr Al Mawadim Directorate in Taiz Governorate. Citizen Almaa Ali Qaid, was killed when a Houthi mine exploded in front of her house in Al Shaqab Sabr village.
This crime took place within less than a week of another horrific crime that resulted in killing and wounding of 12 civilians, when an explosive device planted by the Houthi militia exploded on a secondary road linking Al-Tuhayta and Al-Khawkhah directorates to Al Hudaydah governorate.
Thus, the bloody series continues in the western coast of Yemen, in light of the widespread of mines in these districts, good human hands are racing time to rid Yemenis of this explosive death robe that was forced upon them and was desired to be a permanent dress in the color of blood, smell of death and taste of sadness.
