One may call it “After the clearance”, or “The sun of liberation day” or “The post-coup Yemen”, but there is no doubt that all of them will be celebrated as the ultimate goal of all the parties that care about Yemen.
Healing from the coup is not a new thing for Yemen, as it went through that many times in its history. But the new thing is the shape of the country that will be formed after defeating this terrorist group. We can be certain that Yemen will never be as it is now.
The defeat of the Houthi militias just like its precedents in the face of the Yemeni resistance isn’t a big deal, as they are not the first to be defeated in the history of Yemen. But the level of destruction these militias caused is really astonishing. These militias killed people and destroyed property, pushing the country to the brink of a catastrophe.
These rebels worked hard to create an authoritarian regime, and turn the state into a playground for their militias by using their military arsenal and oppressing the Yemenis and utilizing landmines as tools to achieve their hideous aims and ambitions.
The situation got worse because of their criminal minds, as they never stopped digging and burying their deadly traps in the paths of Yemenis even when things got worse, which shows that the sole goal of this criminal militia is the utter destruction of the Yemeni state.
Landmines became the major problem that threatens Yemenis’ present and future; Yemenis are the main victims because the Houthis planted these landmines deliberately in every place linked to their livelihood; homes, roads, farms, even schools and universities and water wells.
The Houthi militias tried to paint pain and wounds on Yemenis’ faces and bodies through their hollow killer in every inch of land they passed through, but on the other hand, there are people who try to repaint smile and hope on these sad faces – that have been exhausted for 6 years – through a pure humanitarian project that stood against a plan that aims to destroy a country and terrorize a people who wanted only to live peacefully.
project Masam became the savior of Yemenis from a danger that threatens their lives, present and future.
And indeed, Masam’s clearing teams were able during the fourth week of July to clear 1186 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices, thus bringing the total of what was cleared since the 30th of June until the 24th of July to 4579. As for the total of what Masam cleared since the launch of the project until the 24th of July, it reached 176310 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices. This achievement shows surely the huge efforts Masam’s clearing teams are making, using all their human and material resources to clear the thorns that spilled the blood of Yemenis and massacred them mercilessly.
Years will pass, and Yemen will ligate its wounds caused by the evil Houthis, but the Yemenis memory will never forget this painful chapter whenever they see the bodies of their children.
