A Joint Forces’ clearing team dismantled a minefield planted by the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, in the farm of a civilian in Ad Durayhimi directorate, Al Hudaydah province.
The Joint Forces military media said that a civilian from the region of Al Qadaba, in the south west of Ad Durayhimi directorate informed the nearest military post about the appearance of two landmines that the torrents drifted to his farm. A clearing team went to survey the farm right afterwards.
The military media indicated that the clearing team found that the farm was filled with anti-armor landmines planted in a criminous way by the Iranian backed militias before they were expelled from the region.
It added that 65 landmines were cleared and dismantled, and that the survey and dismantling operation is still going on to include all neighboring farms, noting that the clearing teams discovered and cleared similar fields in the past in the surroundings of the same region, in the context of the continuous survey efforts to protect civilians’ lives.
The rain torrents dirfted lately many Houthi landmines, creating an eerie nightmare for civilians in the western coast by killing and wounding them on a daily basis in their villages, farms and roads.
Ad Durayhimi is one of the most affected directorates by the vicious Houthi landmines in Al Hudaydah province.
The clearing teams of the Joint Forces dismantled recently an explosive device planted by some Houthi intruders in the farms of Al Jabaliya region of At Tuhayta directorate, south of Al Hudaydah.
For instance, the clearing teams of the Joint Forces dismantled on Thursday a minefield in Al Hamly region of Muazza’a directorate which was planted by the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
