If you ask me: Why did they do to Yemen what they did? Or why did they destroy it in a horrible way? Or why did they throw Yemenis into the abyss? Or why did they kill children with their treacherous landmines? I won’t find a satisfactory answer.
This organization started to write the history of Yemen, using an evil mind that seeks only destruction and painting pain on the faces of Yemenis.
The crimes are various, but there is only one victim. Thousands of Yemeni civilians have become victims of a war made by the criminal militias. Aerial bombardment wasn’t the only cause of civilians’ sufferings and deaths, as this organization found another weapon, more lethal and uglier; the landmines that never stop lurking for Yemenis to attack them and turn them into torn apart cadavers.
The landmines planted by the Houthi militias play a very dangerous and painful role due to their tragic impact on individuals, society, environment and economy. The militias have been planting these killing machines for the last 6 years in every place where they set their feet.
In every province they enter, they instill fear in the hearts of civilians by propagating hundreds of landmines in a crazy and random way. And this dilemma will keep civilians en garde for many coming years.
Despite what is going on, the militias spared no opportunity to continue the policy of “scorched earth”, as they mined residential buildings, houses, schools and hospitals.. These militias won’t be satisfied unless they see smokes rising in the sky of Yemen, and the smell of death reeking in all its regions. After all these deeds, can we still describe these militias as human beings?
The Houthis think that they grow big only if they belittle the others and destroy them.. They can’t grow on their own, without conspiring and committing treason. But they don’t realize that they can’t grow big as much as the others are destroyed. The others who are their fellow citizens, who share with them the link of land, family ties and blood.
In the humanitarian battle against the evil plans of the Houthi militias, the challenges vary, and so do the battlefields in order to reclaim the state and protect civilians, through clearing the landmines which are everywhere.
This is exactly what project Masam has been doing since it arrived in Yemen. The project is working very hard to face this pandemic which denied civilians the right to rest.
Masam’s teams are waging decisive battles, with resilience, determination and awareness about the importance and seriousness of their mission.
They left no stone unturned and knocked on every door to defeat the Houthi plan which aims to spill innocents’ blood and destroy Yemen. Masam provided every necessary mean to do this job in the best way and as quickly as possible due to the danger of landmines on civilians’ lives and their sources of living.
In this context, project Masam carried out an operation in the western coast to destroy and demolish 1155 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices. This operation is its 80th in Yemen, and its 28th in the western coast.
Yemenis fall dead or wounded on almost a daily basis because of the landmines which were planted extensively by the Houthis who aim to expand their control over Yemen, and cling to power even if this means walking of civilians’ dead bodies. Do these militias know that God will judge them for every drop of spilled blood and every civilian killed because of their landmines? In the judgment day, their allies, the Iranian Mullahs, won’t save them from the wrath of God.
