Team 22 Masam removed an explosive device and unexploded ordnance from Al-Shaab School, Jabal Habashi District in Taiz.
In an interview, Engineer Abdel Salam Thabet, a deminer working in Team 22, said that his team was able to remove an explosive device and a deadly explosive shell from under the rubble of Al-Shaab School in Akkad village.
Thabet indicated that Team 22 is working at high speed and with extreme caution to remove all landmines, explosive devices and other remnants of war that are known to be present under the rubble of Al-Shaab School, as the team has reached a very dangerous stage, and is facing difficulties in dealing with landmines and explosive devices under the rubble.
Since the beginning of its operations in Al-Shaab School, Team 22 has managed to remove three anti-tank mines, an anti-personnel mine, nine unexploded ordnances, an explosive device, and nine unexploded fuses – a total of 26 landmines, an explosive device, and an unexploded ordnance.
