Brigadier General Qaed Haitham, Director of the Executive Center for Mine Action in Aden Governorate, confirmed that Masam achievement in clearing and securing 200,000 mines and unexploded ordnance required great efforts and sacrifices by Masam engineering teams working in the field during two and a half years of continuous work.
Qaed Haitham said in a special statement to Masam Media Office that, the efforts and sacrifices made by Masam teams in order to drive off civilians from the nightmare of mines with which the militias have polluted Yemeni lands will remain engraved in the memory and conscience of Yemenis forever.
And added that, the credit for Project Masam achievement in clearing and securing 200,000 mines, explosive devices and unexploded ordnance belongs to the wise leadership of Project Masam represented by the Managing Director of project Masam, Mr. Ousama AlGosaibi, who provided all modern mine detection devices equipment, in addition to his great interest in training and qualifying the engineering teams and facilitating its field work.
Brigadier General Qaed Haitham sent a message of thanks and appreciation to the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to the management of Project Masam, its experts and all its employees for all their efforts to secure the land and the Yemeni people from death buried underground, which caused the killing and injury of thousands of civilians, most of them women and children.
