The leader of Project Masam Team 12 has confirmed that his team secured 14 minefields during the past year in several villages and populated areas in the Harib district, west of Yemen’s Marib governorate.
The minefields his team secured are located in al-Hashfa, al-Haysha, and Um Risha areas among many others, he said, adding that the team removed more than 430 landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from those fields.
Regarding the nature of his work, the team leader said that the team began its work in field No. 14 after a report by a civilian stating that there were a number of IEDs in this field, and his team is currently surveying the field affirming that work will continue until it is fully secured.
