Project Masam removes 730 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 730 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in September 2023.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams managed to remove five anti-personnel mines, 105 anti-tank mines, 617 UXO and three IEDs since the beginning of the month.

The project’s demining teams cleared 214,770 square metres of Yemeni territory in September.

Since the launch of the project in mid-June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 50,347,101 square metres of Yemeni land.
