Each year on May 16th, the United Nations observes the International Day of Living Together in Peace, which promotes collaboration, acceptance, and respect.

This day urges the international community to come together to encourage peace-building efforts and shed light on the struggles civilians face in armed conflict worldwide, such as the conflict in Yemen.

This occasion invites countries and humanitarian groups to reflect on the importance of working with local communities and inviting all members of society to be part of the conversation on peace.

Project Masam seeks to bring awareness to the unique experiences of Yemenis during the ongoing conflict. It is important to consider the diverse struggles of impacted communities and the differing needs of each family or individual.

Each demographic and individual has their own experience with explosive violence and deserves access to aid that suits their specific needs. By understanding their unique struggles, Project Masam can seek to aid all members of Yemeni society.

Collaboration between affected communities, humanitarian groups, countries, and international communities is essential to furthering peace efforts. Project Masam is proud to do our part for the safety of Yemeni communities. Each mine cleared works toward a Yemen where civilians can live in peace.
