As an appreciation of their hard work and generosity, Project Masam’s management has given a day off to all its demining teams in Yemen.

The 32 teams of engineers, distributed across eight Yemeni governorates starting from Shabwah in the east to Taiz, Hodeidah, and Hajja to the west, have been given a day off on Thursday 24 November to say thank you for their high-quality work and dedication to clearing landmines in Yemen.

Project Masam this week announced it has located and destroyed 372,652 explosive devices in Yemeni liberated areas since the beginning of the humanitarian landmine clearance operations in mid-2018.

Engineering teams have so far cleared 5,720 anti-personnel mines, 134,412 anti-tank mines, 7,577 improvised explosive devices and 224,943 unexploded ordnance neutralised over 40,736,537sqm of land.
