Project Masam clears 969 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 969 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in July 2024.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 969 landmines and UXO last week, including one anti-personnel landmines, 47 anti-tank mines, 920 UXO and one IED.

The project’s demining teams cleared 194,176 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.

Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 57,637,709 square meters of Yemeni land.
