Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 935 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in May 2024.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 935 landmines and UXO last week, including seven anti-personnel landmines, 47 anti-tank mines, 875 UXO and five IEDs.
The project’s demining teams cleared 250,124 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.
Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 56,226,871 square meters of Yemeni land.
