Project Masam clears 784 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 784 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in February 2024.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 784 landmines, UXO, and IEDs last week, including three anti-personnel mines, 129 anti-tank mines, 623 UXO and 29 IEDs.

The project’s demining teams cleared 278,353 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.

Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 54,360,002 square meters of Yemeni land.
