Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 574 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in March 2024.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 574 landmines, UXO, and IEDs last week, including four anti-personnel mines, 54 anti-tank mines and 516 UXO.
The project’s demining teams cleared 204,893 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.
Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 55,380,707 square meters of Yemeni land.
