Project Masam clears 383 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 383 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in April 2024.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 383 landmines, UXO, and IEDs last week, including one anti-personnel mine, 75 anti-tank mines, 300 UXO and eight IEDs.

The project’s demining teams cleared 2,560 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.

Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 55,393,442 square meters of Yemeni land.
