Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 1,472 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in November 2023.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams last week removed and cleared 518 UXO and 117 anti-tank landmines. Since the beginning of the month, Project Masam’s deminers cleared 1,221 UXO and 229 anti-tank mines.
The project’s demining teams cleared 202,677 square metres of Yemeni territory last week, bringing the total land cleared so far in November to 397,186.
Since the launch of the project in mid-June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 51,284,798 square metres of Yemeni land.
