Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 1,254 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in June 2024.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 1,254 landmines and UXO last week, including one anti-personnel landmines, 18 anti-tank mines, 1,232 UXO and three IEDs.
The project’s demining teams cleared 244,946 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.
Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 57,115,259 square meters of Yemeni land.
