Project Masam clears 1,240 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices

Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have removed 1,240 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in April 2024.

Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams removed 857 landmines and UXO last week, including 75 anti-tank mines and 782 UXO.

The project’s demining teams cleared 110,533 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement.

Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 55,503,975 square meters of Yemeni land.
